Winds of Change

I've had a few big life changes in the last year: some very good (moving into a new place with my fella), some very bad (losing my 80 year old mom). I try to remind myself that each change is a new beginning, holding the seed of possibility. This morning, as the cool breeze that signals the onset of a lovely autumn fluttered through the windows, I thought, "What a perfect breezy Thursday!" And I thought about new beginnings, how something as simple as baking a cake can be healing and rejuvenating all at once.
